A World To Come - 31st July to 1st October

The village church is open daily from 10am to 6pm, to display this Art+Christianity community art project by local artist Bettina Furnée. The medieval Wheel of the Seven Acts of Corporal Mercy (one of Kingston's medieval wall paintings) is 'turned again' for a contemporary audience.

A World To Come: Discussion - Saturday 17th August

In the village church at 2pm

Bettina Furnée (artist) and Laura Purseglove (curator) will discuss the development of the work "A World To Come" - Bettina's enquiry into the iconography and symbolism of the church's medieval wall paintings and her thoughts on the relationship between art and morality.

Even You Song - Sunday 31st October

In the village church at 6.30pm

Anew choral work, performed by Director of Music Owain Park with Cambridge Chorale and organist Joseph Wicks and children from Bourn Primary against a backdrop of digital projections. This special evensong will be led by The Reverend Nigel Pearson. Supported by Wysing Arts Centre.

Cream teas 3.30-5.30pm (the tea and scones are free: please donate generously to the church!); tug-o-war; bar offering real ales, cider, wine and G&T

"A World to Come" - Friday 12th July

The Art+Christianity community art project opens in the Village Church at 6.30pm. The artist Bettina Furnée will give a talk at 7.15pm and refreshments will be served.

Kingston is part of a pilot project linking contemporary art and artists to historical art in churches (our medieval wall paintings).

Village chimney sweep days - Wednesday 26th and Thursday 27th June

Our annual visit from the chimney sweep - he offers a discount for these two days.

Ermine Street Band Concert - Saturday 18th May

In All Saints & St Andrew's Church Kingston at 7.30pm. This band of ten local musicians will present a varied and lively programme of chamber music for wind instruments. Tickets cost £10 (to include refreshments; free for under-16s). The band are performing free, and all proceeds go to the church.

Annual Village Meeting - Thursday 16th May

8pm in the Village Hall. All villagers are very welcome to come along, to discuss matters of common interest in an 'Open Forum' and to enjoy a glass of wine in good company.

At the War Memorial on the West end of the Church at 10.50am, followed by a service inside the church.

In Kingston Church at 8.30pm

An evening or readings, music and meditation in remembrance of all who have died or suffered as a consequence of war. (Although held in the church, this is not planned as a religious service.)

All Saints and Andrews Church - an opportunity to view the harvest decorations and enjoy a few moments of quiet reflection.

In the Village Hall at 7pm, food served from 7.30pm (following the 6pm Harvest Festival service in the church). Hot supper with a complimentary beverage, apple pudding, pay bar and entertainment.

Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust Ride Drive or Stride 2018 - Saturday 8th September
